Japan on the long term 27th January

It’s Japan Long Term Forecast Time again! Let’s get stuck into it.

6-9 February EPS Control shows a period of Northwesternly winds going on the 6th and 7th of February, then dims overnight and then restarts, giving good lake effect oppurtunity on the 8th and 9th of February. GFS shows consistent, though not very strong Northwesternly winds, giving good snow oppurtunity for this four day period. Both Hokkaido and Honshu reap benefit.

11-12 February GFS signals good snow oppurtunity on the 11th and 12th with Northwesternly winds. CFS likes this one, for the 12-16th of February period. Both Honshu and Hokkaido reap benefit from this one.

14-16 February EC Monthly Control has a low going up the Japanese East Coast on the 14th and then some Northwesternly winds follow it for the 15th and 16th. CFS continues from the 12th through to the 16th, when another high comes through.

17-19 February On EC Monthly Control, A series of lows come over Japan on the 17th with Northwesternly winds coming over Honshu for the 18th and Hokkaido later that day. It dies off on the 19th. CFS like this system from the 18th to the 22nd with decent Northwesternly winds over Honshu and Hokkaido.

20-23 February EC Monthly Control has a low coming over the 20th and good Northwesternly winds over the 21-23 Feb period in both Honshu and Hokkaido. CFS has a period of Northwesternly winds continue from the 18th to the 22nd, when it predicts a low to come from the North. I think Honshu and Hokkaido will both reap rewards from this storm. Disclaimer: Long Term Forecasts have caveats and my one is no exception. I let my readers judge the accuracy of this forecast and imply no degree of accuracy. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend Snowy Hibbo.
